Some Basic Piano Lesson Info

Where-Lessons are taught out of my home studio in University Place, WA
Online Lessons-Online lessons follow many of the same ideas stated below. I use Zoom for my online lessons. If you’d like more info about times available, please fill in some basic info in the Contact section below. I will get back to you ASAP to answer any questions.
*Online lessons for very beginners are strongly encouraged to be 16 or older. Younger than 16 will be on a probation period. I’d love to help, but I’ve found zoom is pretty tough to do for beginners at younger ages. Feel free to check with me. I’m happy to chat about your situation.
Who-Anyone ages 7 and Up
How Much?-Lessons are $120 a month. This includes 4, once a week, 30 min lesson at an agreed upon designated time.
What do we learn?-A bunch! My goal is to make great musicians, not classical pianists :) We will learn foundational reading skills and theory. We will work with chords, scales, learn to play with lead sheets, how to play with a band, and how to improvise (depending on student’s interest).
Recitals-At this time I have 2 scheduled recitals. A Christmas Recital, typically at the beginning of December. I also do a “Ice Cream Night” in August with students in my backyard. We eat ice cream together, while students play songs on a keyboard set up on the patio for everyone to listen to.
